Super sturdy when I first planted in them, biodegrades well over time, and soft enough for roots to break through after a few weeks of germination and growth. Great eco friendly purchase. I use these after the winter and put my plants inside for them to grow. The plastic containers keeping my floor dry and not messy at all. The pair of gloves i'll use when i plant them in the summer. I planted the pods directly in the ground without removing any of the material.This kit has made gardening so much easier and efficient. I believe it's the type of material they use on the labels. Luckily I had other labels that did not come with this kit that are working now.
