There are at least two aspects of this plant caddy that make it particularly good compared to others (and I've had many others). First, the wheel diameters are genuinely close to 2 inches (more like 1 7/8", but close). Large wheel diameter is crucial for stable operation on surfaces that are not smooth (like my deck, which has fairly large gaps between boards). Caddies from other manufacturers, advertised as having 2" wheels, actually have 1.5" diameter wheels. Second, there are five wheels rather than 3 or 4, which improves the stability and makes it less likely that the caddy will tip and spill the plant off of it.This is holding HUGE pots on porch and patio---very sturdy, easy to roll, sturdy castors, good looking. This is a basic product that so many get wrong, but this company does the whole thing perfectly. Arrived on time in good packaging. Will buy again and highly recommend!Very sturdy stands with metal reinforced wheel holders. I've replaced many of the plastic ones already and I think this one will hold up to the weight over time. The plant stand will hold a lot of weigh. We have big plant pots that other stands would not support. This stand easily supports them and even with all that weight, they are easy to move.I prefer this style because the wheels are protected from weather. When the wheel pivot gets wet, they lose the ability to pivot. They hold weight. I'm moving citrus in large pots around a patio. My heaviest tree in a heavy tall clay pot is still difficult to move across the pavers and I need to be careful but it is doable. Other brands I have that are lower to the ground feel easier to glide. Less tipsy feeling. This one is several inches from the ground. Still, the best made and most rust resistant. Looks like they will last for years. Price is high. Still the best made of all I haveWe have a couple of these and my wife just loves them. It makes it easy to move heavy plants around when you need to. They are very well made. We have tried other similar caddies that don't compare. Since these are made of heavy plastic, you don't have to worry about them rusting or corroding like the metal ones. The casters are heavy duty and roll very easily. After having used these plant caddies for a couple of years now, I can say that they are a great value. I was concerned about their longevity when I first bought them, but after years of full sun in the summer and snow in the winter, they are just as easy to use as the day we pulled them out of the box.The only comment I would have is that it would be nice to be able to lock two wheels. While one wheel lock does keep the pot stationary for 95% of the time, every now and then a big wind storm will be able move them around. Overall, these are a great help for us to be able to rotate our large, heavy pots around the patio for optimal sunlight exposure and to change up our garden layout.Nothing more to addPerfect to move my Huge palm tree. Very easy to put pot on tray and fixing it just in the middle so that drainage works.Very sturdy plant stand and although it is 'overkill' for the plant I have sitting on it now -- I truly believe it can hold up to 500 lbs and when the plant finally dies I plan to use it to move my husband around with on the days he is (for no apparent reason) not able to move from the couch and help out with simple tasks like vacuuming or putting things away!!!Brilliant pot trolley, if a bit expensiveI bought this to roll 5 gallon pails of water (50 lbs) from the fish tank to the sink and back. Holds the weight fine, even with my leaning on it a bit while I push. It comes fully assembled. The five legged design makes getting a hand under the half-filled bucket to dump it easy and convenient, and five wheels means it's really hard to tip over. It rolls smoothly over low-pile carpet and flooring - a little too easily as I gave it a little kick and it shot itself down the stairs - which, while I don't recommend knocking it down the stairs, apparently, seems to be something that it can withstand perfectly at least once. The wheels are small and catch on the tiled kitchen floor - I had an unfortunate couple of splashes before adapting with small nudges at the grout lines. Still, it does what I need it to do and does it well. If it holds up over the coming months, I may consider giving it a name.
